Sir William Wallace is best known from the 1995 blockbuster “Braveheart” starring Mel Gibson. Our William Wallace Sword is inspired by the sword used in the film.

It is styled on the “Locksley Sword” from the movie Robin Hood – Prince of Thieves. It features a jewelled pommel, leather wrapped handle and decorated 420 stainless steel blade.

For five centuries, the Valyrian steel sword Longclaw belonged to House Mormont of Bear Island. After Ser Jorah Mormont fled into exile, the sword returned to his father, Jeor Mormont, Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch.

Longclaw remained hidden until Jon Snow and his direwolf Ghost saved Jeor from a wight attack by burning the creature alive. Though the fire damaged the sword’s hilt and bear-shaped pommel, the Valyrian steel blade itself was unharmed. In gratitude, Jeor gifted the sword to Jon, replacing the bear pommel with a wolf’s head. Jon chose to keep the name Longclaw, saying wolves have claws as bears do.
