This armour is created by Medio Evo in the ancient city of Gubbio in Italy. Gubbio was a very powerful city during the Middle Ages and they sent 1,000 knights to fight in the First Crusade. Northern Italian cities such as Milan produced some of the finest armour in Europe during the Medieval period.
This suit of armour was made around the years 1440-1445 by the Corio family who were amongst the most famous Italian armourers of the period and in collaboration with Giovanni da Garavalle. Today the original is held in the arms and armour collection of the Kelingrove Museum in Glasgow, Scotland. It is typical Italian-style armour, characterized by plain surfaces with a "T" faced sallet also known as Venetian-style sallet.
This armour is constructed from steel and is fully articulated and can be worn. Ideally suited to somebody of average build from 5'10" - 6'2" tall. Comes complete with steel stand and wooden base.
