Details
The use of mittens gauntlets became more frequent during the second quarter of the 15th C. and continued to be popular long afterwards. They were mainly used by infantry who wanted to protect their hands when using pikes and halberds. Of course, knights also used mitten gauntlets, but their use seems to be very favoured by the mercenaries and foot soldiers of the 15th C.
Made of 1.2 mm steel. Steel thickness may vary due to the handcrafted methods used in its manufacture. The steel is untreated and may have rust. To protect the steel you may rub it with mineral or synthetic oil.
