£24.98

Be the first to review this product

This style of shield first appeared in the medieval period. It evolved from the larger kite shield – which gradually became smaller as head and leg protection became better. It is commonly referred to as a “Heater” shield because of its resemblance to the shape of an old flat iron.

Our Knight’s “Heater” Shield is constructed from 10mm thick wood and has adjustable leather straps and a cushioned pad for the arm. It has a blank canvas facing and edging ready for you to paint depending on your affiliations – Templar, Hospitaller, or maybe your coat of arms? This shield is a little on the light side for full contact re-enactment but is perfect for theatre and film work and great as a display piece.

Height: 69cm
Width: 43cm

All dimensions are approximate and may vary from piece to piece.
