Our Close Helm is constructed from 18 gauge steel and features a tilting visor which can be raised for better vision and ventilation. It comes complete with a seperate padded lining cap that can be glued in if required.

Please note: The visor on these helmets does not stay open and has to be held up by hand. It will only open enough to reveal the face and is primarily constructed as a display piece. Not suitable for contact re-enactment but perfect for display or theatrical use.

Our Jousting Close Helm is made in Italy. It is constructed from 20 gauge steel with a lacquered finish and features 1 piece tilting visor that can be raised and lowered.

The visor is unusual in that is does not feature ventilation holes on either side. As such this helmet would get hot and stuffy in combat and was probably designed for jousting where the visor would only be lowered during the charge.

Our skull of our Great Bascinet is constructed from 12 gauge steel making is incredibly durable. The rest of the helmet is constructed from 14 gauge steel.

It features a well-padded adjustable liner and buckled leather chin strap. The visor can be easily removed if required by removing the fixing pins. Perfect for re-enactment.
