It is painstakingly HANDCRAFTED from hundreds of overlapping blackened steel plates with pure brass plates carefully arranged in a row at the centre. Just give it a try, and you will immediately know why it was so popular back then!

The 20 gauge plates are bound together with thick GENUINE leather backing and fitted to a robust, genuine leather frame that supports a sturdy structure. Just pass a gorgeous Viking leather belt (available separately) through its loops and you will be offered the protection, every warrior deserves!

For any heroic mounted knight, sabatons (foot armour) was often a must-have. Our medieval sabatons, when tied over your shoes, keep your feet protected throughout your skirmishes!

With the 18 gauge MILD STEEL plates (or lames) riveted together (with 16 mm rivets) in a smartly articulated manner, these sabatons allow efficient mobility.

These fasten with a sturdy (3.5 mm thick) GENUINE LEATHER strap and a nice iron buckle for a snug fit.

The historically inspired design of the tapered ends makes them look perfect for historically re-enacting a late medieval knightly character.

Our Sabatons are constructed from 16 gauge steel making them great for re-enactment. They are fully articulated allowing the foot to flex and are attached with a leather strap.
