Our Churburg Bascinet dates from approximately 1360 - 1390 and is based on a helmet that is part of a suit of armour that can be found in the Matsh family castle. It is constructed from 14 gauge steel making it perfect for the re-enactment field.

It includes a movable visor with removable pin fixing for quick removal as well as vervelles to allow the attachment of an aventail. Our Churburg Bascinet features a well-padded lining and buckled leather chin strap. Mail aventail not included.

Our skull of our Great Bascinet is constructed from 12 gauge steel making is incredibly durable. The rest of the helmet is constructed from 14 gauge steel.

It features a well-padded adjustable liner and buckled leather chin strap. The visor can be easily removed if required by removing the fixing pins. Perfect for re-enactment.

It was quite popular among medieval armies because of its versatility and good balance between protection and mobility. Just attach one of our chainmail aventails (sold separately) to its vervelles, and you will get an optimum combination for your next LARP or reenactment, offering a great look and protection.

This gorgeous, historic reproduction is HANDMADE from sturdy 14-gauge mild steel, lined with a comfortable and secure padded liner. A large circumference makes it fit almost all head sizes.

Our Robert the Bruce Helmet is a replica of the bascinet worn by the Robert the Bruce on his famous statue at the Bannockburn battlefield site. It is an accurate replica of a helmet from this period and features a chainmail aventail to protect the neck and is mounted with a brass crown.

Our Close Helm is constructed from 18 gauge steel and features a tilting visor which can be raised for better vision and ventilation. It comes complete with a seperate padded lining cap that can be glued in if required.
