  • Templar Dagger

The Knights Templar were a powerful crusading order of knights founded in the 11th Century with many of their number recruited from England and France. There are many Templar castles and churches throughout England including the Temple Church in London, made famous in The Da Vinci Code.

Our Knights Templar Dagger is constructed in the world-famous Art Gladius sword factory in Toledo, Spain. Toledo has a reputation for producing some of the finest swords in Europe and has been the centre of sword production for centuries. It is one of our best-selling daggers and is particularly favoured by Freemasons and Templars. The Spanish stainless steel blade is topped by a brass-plated crossguard with an ornate depiction of Jesus Christ at the top and etched onto the blade.

  • Royal Armouries Henry VIII Hunting Dagger

Drawing upon the outstanding quality and range of the Royal Armouries collections, we are proud to present this range of fine quality replicas. At each stage of the process, from the initial selection to the last details of the prototypes, the Museum’s experts on armour and edged weapons have been personally involved.

These replicas are impressive in both their look and feel, accurately capturing the dimensions, materials and processes of the originals with tremendous attention to detail. The Royal Armouries is delighted that enthusiasts will now be able to enjoy these objects ‘at first hand’.

By tradition, the original dagger belonged to Henry VIII and was probably a hunting weapon. Its blade is long, hollow-ground, single-edged and decorated with etched roses and pomegranates. These were respectively the badges of King Henry VIII and his first wife, Katherine of Aragon. Her badge probably dates the dagger to the first decade of Henry’s reign.
