The sturdy 17-gauge MILD STEEL FLAT RINGS (diameter of approx. 9 mm), with alternating flat rings, are painstakingly DOME RIVETED by our skilled artisans. The intricately interlocked FOUR-IN-ONE pattern makes sure to buffer against striking attacks. This byrnie is available in three sizes: medium, large and extra large.

By the end of the 11th century, most Norman knights were still wearing the tried-and-true Nasal helmet.  However, during the great Norman expansion, the Norman knightly elite came face-to-face with Mediterranean civilizations employing large numbers of archers in their armies. The simple bar of the Nasal helmet was no longer seen as sufficient to protect the face of the rider charging through such deep hails of arrows. Increased face protection was required. As a result, new designs offering increased facial protection emerged, including the Normano-Sicilian style featured here. This helmet is a perfect choice for your next Crusader knight set!

The brass buckle and a sturdy leather strap combine to make a reliable closure. It can fit almost all who wish to wear it, thanks to an inner circumference of 68cm.

These are meticulously handmade from sturdy 16 gauge mild steel and can be fastened perfectly to your legs with a set of sturdy GENUINE BUFF LEATHER STRAPS.

To create those beautiful legs armour, we have directly taken inspiration from an existing pair of legs belonging to the young Charles VI of France, preciously preserved in the French city of Chartres and dated circa 1380-90.

Their historically inspired shape, and even the large wing defending your knee, add an additional touch of accuracy to any 14th-century French armour.
