They are handmade in Italy and are crafted from wood with a varnished finish.  This plaque is held in place by 2 small pins and can be easily removed if necessary. The blade is secured in place with a fixed leather strap at the top mount and a brass socket at the bottom.

Our Roman Gladius Display Plaques are the perfect way to display your Roman sword. They are hand made in Italy and are crafted from wood with a varnished finish. They feature a small brass plaque with the word “ROMA” embossed into it.

This plaque is held in place by 2 small pins and can be easily removed if necessary. The mount at the hilt end of the sword, holds the blade 25mm away from the plaque, allowing for the width of the gladius hilt. The blade is secured in place with a laced leather strap that can be loosened to accommodate the width of a gladius scabbard.
