  • Viking Long Seax with Leather Grip

Your enemies fear you in battle when you wield the Long Viking Seax against them. Made from EN45 high carbon steel, this robustly constructed dagger has a thick, tempered blade. The single-edged blade is blunted for stage combat. Two fullers run down the length of the blade near the spine. The fullers help to lighten the durable blade. The blade also features an angled tip, which is common for a seax. The seax continues with a disk-shaped crossguard with a blackened finish. Angled grooves adorn the sides of the guard. Then, the hilt has a brown, leather-wrapped grip. The hilt ends with a peened, mushroom-shaped pommel. Grooves also adorn the blackened steel pommel.

Finally, this seax comes with a brown leather sheath. The sheath has stitched edges. Also, it features two loops on the sides. These loops allow the sheath to hang from a belt, not included. Bring this seax to your next stage fight or historical re-enactment. You are sure to look like a mighty Viking while wielding this stage combat dagger.

  • Fafnir's Bane Viking Shield

Our painted Viking shield features Fafnir, the fearsome dragon of Norse legend, whose greed and treachery became the stuff of myth. Once a dwarf, Fafnir was transformed into a monstrous serpent after slaying his own father to claim a cursed hoard of gold. Consumed by his lust for wealth, he retreated into the wilderness, guarding his treasure and spreading terror to all who dared approach.

His reign of fear was ultimately ended by the hero Sigurd, who, guided by cunning and fate, struck Fafnir down from beneath as the beast crawled over a pit. With the dragon’s death, Sigurd claimed both glory and the cursed riches—though the shadow of that treasure would follow him thereafter.

  • Champagne Sword (Sabre à Champagne) for Sabrage

Napoleon once said “"Champagne! In victory one deserves it; in defeat one needs it”. During the many parties to celebrate his victories, his light cavalry (Hussars) would open the champagne bottles with their sabres. It proved such a spectacle that this practice was adopted for ceremonial use and continues to both delight and amaze onlookers to this day.

The wielder must slide the sabre along the body of the bottle to break the neck away, leaving the neck of the bottle open and ready to pour. The cork and collar remain together after separating from the neck. The first glass poured should always be checked for small glass shards.

Our Champagne Sword is designed to resemble the French Briquet Sabres of the Napoleonic Period. It is constructed from stainless steel to require minimum maintenance and features a blunt blade which is perfect for the art of sabrage. Comes complete with a velvet covered and lined presentation case.

    Blade Length: 29cm
    Blade Width: 3.9cm
    Blade Thickness: 0.6cm
    Grip: 10cm
    Edge: Blunt

All dimensions are approximate and may vary from piece to piece.
