These latest additions to the Red Dragon Combat Range feature 3mm re-enactment safe edges and rounded tips. The blades are formed from tempered high-carbon steel (HRC Core of approx 48 and Edge 50-52) and fullered to ensure they are swift in the hand. Indeed a lot of time and effort has gone into make these blades as agile as possible whilst retaining a re-enactment safe edge.

The steel hilt fittings neatly sandwich the leather wrapped wooden grip and are held in place by a traditional peened tang. The leather wrapped wooden scabbard features a protective rain guard and metal chape. If you are part of a re-enactment group we recommend consulting your safety officer for guidance before purchase.

Our Templar Sword is a product of the world famous Art Gladius factory in the historic sword manufacturing city of Toledo, Spain.

It features the words SIGILLUM MILITUM TEMPLI XPISTI (Seal of the Knights of Christ) emblazoned around the pommel encircling a Templar Cross with knotwork decoration. The guard also features the Cross Pattée and heraldic imagery on the quillons, and the “Two Knights on One Horse” (said to symbolise the poverty of the order) symbol at the centre of the guard. The handle also features Christian symbology and a black textured grip. The stainless steel blade features etched heraldic designs.

Its heavily decorated hilt features a textured cross-guard with heraldic dragons motif at the centre and quillons terminating in boar’s heads. Our Crusader Sword is a product of the world famous Art Gladius factory in the historic sword manufacturing city of Toledo, Spain. Toledo has a reputation for producing some of the finest swords in Europe and has been a centre of sword production for centuries.

The antique brass hilt features the cross pattée of the Templar Order on the pommel and belted grip. The Cross of St George is featured at the centre of the cross-guard.  The hilt has an antiqued brass finish and cord wrapped grip. Our Temple Church sword is a replica of a sword found in the River Thames in London. The sword, forged in the period between 1300-1350, was discovered opposite Temple Church, the headquarters of the Knights Templar in England.

During the 14th century, the gardens of the Temple in London ran down to the river’s edge where this sword was discovered. The discovery location, coupled with the crosses in the pommel, suggests that it is a Templar knight’s sword thrown into the river when the Order of the Temple was dissolved by Edward II in 1314.
